The procedure

  • Following a full assessment implants are placed on a single appointment.
  • The majority of patients are very surprised how painless implant dentistry is.
  • Implants are usually placed using local anaesthetic so you will not feel any pain during the procedure which takes approximately 20 minutes per implant.
  • Nervous patients may prefer twilight sedation.
  • There may be some slight discomfort and swelling immediately after placement. Healing usually takes 2-3 days.
  • Placing an implant is usually easier than extracting a tooth and similar to having a filling…

How do Dental Implants work?

  • Dental implants place in the jaw to replace the root of a missing tooth.
  • The implant is then used to support new tooth. They are very strong and made of titanium.
  • Titanium is accepted by the body and once placed , the bone attaches onto the surface of the implant creating a solid strong base and seal.

Treatment can be completed in 3-6 months, depending on the condition and health of your jaw, and your specific needs.
